Another look at integration
GoldMine can be and should be the central source of customer and prospect information within your organization. Therefore, integration with other business systems may be a critical piece of maintaining a single customer record across your organization. Here are some of the most common integration points with GoldMine.
1) Exchanging customer data with the financial system.
This is often a one-way integration with GoldMine doing the initial population of the financial system and the financial system being the source data from that point forward. Occasionally invoice data and related information may be brought back into GoldMine so that sales and administrative team members can have visibility into the information.
2) Exchanging customer and opportunity information with a quoting system|
One of the most time consuming part of quoting is duplicating the customer contact information that is already in GoldMine. The most common integration with a quoting solution not only populates the quote with the contact information from GoldMine, but it also populates the Opportunity in GoldMine with the quote total. This keeps the forecast up to date with the latest quoted prices.
3) Bringing in new prospect data from a website
The days of retyping web requests are over with the now frequently used website integration. In addition to bringing in prospect data from the website, GoldMine’s automated processes can take over to route the lead and schedule the necessary follow-up based on information coming from the inquiry.
It’s time to take advantage of some of these time-saving integrations so your administrative staff can stop double-entering data in multiple places and start executing on the new strategy and goals you have set out for the year
